So I just started my first full time job as the 5th employee (or possibly 4th, I’m not exactly sure) at a startup called Photometria located in La Jolla. My first project when I got there yesterday was to set up my desk. Following that, I set up 3 more similar desks and then went ahead to start setting up some computers. Keep in mind now, my job title is “Web programmer”…I’ve been “day laborer” up until now…
Anyway, so far it’s been pretty cool. I think the job fits me (I say this despite the fact that I haven’t written a single line of code). I get home everyday pretty tired, but I guess that comes with the territory. Can’t think of anything else interesting to write right now, kind of drained. I’ll stop here.

So I’m not sure how permanent this shift to wordpress is going to be…
One thing is for certain, management will be easier in some sense now. I guess I feel more “hip” now that I only have to focus on punching out the stylistic end of things. A permanent switch to wordpress would bring the crappy php hacks to cutenews to an end. On the other hand, I feel like I sold out. The old flan had character.
Anyway, we’ll see how things pan out. If I can’t sleep with wordpress, I’ll switch back.
